For example, Lewis and Clark have helped to identify and discover many areas in the west side of America. Marco Polo was also one of the first person to travel to China. Did you know that Leif Erikson was a viking explorer who was the first European explorer to examine the "New World?" Or did you ever think that a woman explorer with such little scientific background like Mary Kingsley would discover many unique species.
